It’s all about blogging in this read! If you’re a blogger or interested in becoming a blogger but not sure you how you can make money at it, keep reading to learn the foolproof way to make money blogging.
Bloggers Make Money?
Yes, bloggers do make money and they can make A LOT of money, at that, far more than any corporate job, in some cases (look at this example, this one, and that one). So, how does it all work?
Well, bloggers write content. They monetize their content with ads, affiliate links, their own products and services, and partnerships with brands. How much a blogger earns varies widely and we’ll dive into this more down below.
The truth about blogging is, it’s a slow and steady race. There are tons of ebooks, courses and guides out there that promise overnight success but there’s no magic pill, there amount of money you can spend to make you successful overnight at a snap.
It takes time to build your blog, develop a readership, gain followers on social media, and more.
Don’t get me wrong. There are bloggers that have exploded with success very quickly. This is not impossible but very unlikely. There are so many factors that go into this and so many things you may not know about that blogger: they are likely not a first time blogger, they may already have a huge personal social following, they may be a personality or celebrity, etc.
How To ACTUALLY Make Money
Touched on a bit above, here are the 5 ways to make money with your blog:
- Affiliate marketing
- Brand sponsorships
This means you will promote a company’s product or service and if a sale results, you get a commission. An example: you promote a product from a shoe company that results in a customer buying $100 in shoes from that store. Your 20% commission rate means you earn $20 on that sale.
You rinse and repeat this process so you can make money time over time again from affiliate links placed throughout your blog, in your social media accounts, in your emails to subscribers. Make sense?
You can actually make a lot of money with affiliate marketing. I learned some pretty cool strategies that helped me go from $80 to over $800 in affiliate marketing income in just 3 weeks! In fact, this blogger, makes $50,000 per month (yes, per month) from affiliate marketing commissions alone!
She’s not the only one. Many more bloggers are making a killing from affiliate marketing commissions. Wanna learn how to do it the right here? Check out this strategy that I’ve personally used to help me make thousands with affiliate marketing income.
Ads are just the easiest thing ever. You put a little code on your site, users click the ads and you get paid on the clicks! They don’t even have to buy or sign up for anything. They click, you get paid! There are bloggers I know earning upwards of $4K per month from ads alone! Some to check out: Google Adsense, Media.net

This blogger makes around $400K per launch of new product she releases. Insane!
Learn how to partner with companies to promote them on your site. You can run a giveaway, write a blog post or review about them, feature them on your Instagram feed, etc. And, they PAY YOU to do this!
Join networks and cold pitch! Joining networks is the easiest. You just apply to sponsored networks and will either get notified by email when opportunities are available OR login to their site to see opportunities yourself and apply to the ones you like.
Sponsored Networks to Check Out:
Cold Pitching means you contact brands yourself. Instead of going through a network which will be the middleman between you and the brand, you work with brand direct. What does this mean? It’s more work because you’re going to negotiate the terms, talk one-on-one with the brand to discuss their needs, pitch them, etc. But, it’s also usually more money and you get paid a lot faster than with networks.
Networks are great, don’t get me wrong, they are super easy and do all the legwork. There are pros and cons to both. Why not try them both?
